No Country for Old Men

The Coen brothers interpretation of the Cormac McCarthy novel was so perfect, that having read the novel, it felt a little lifeless to me. This may be the rare instance where the book and the movie are perfect equals: if you read the book, you won't get much more from the movie (and vice versa).

I'm Not There

I enjoyed it. I thought it was a nice variation on the typical musician bio pic. Instead of sticking strictly to the chronological facts of Dylan's life, it mashes the facts, the myths, and the songs into one big stew. If you're not familiar with Dylan's history, it might be a bit confusing, but if you are, it's an interesting, personal interpretation of Dylan's life and music.
